Letter from August 24th

Guess what?? Today is the start of a new transfer. I really love a new transfer. New goals, new plans, new aspirations, new ambitions, new dreams, new start. I love it. My comp and I don't have transfers from this area, but we are looking at it with NEW EYES! We are excited.

This week was tough. Lots of ups and downs and all arounds but we learned a GREAT lesson... EL DOMINGO LLEGARA.

Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin taught us:

Each of us will have our own Fridays—those days when the universe itself seems shattered and the shards of our world lie littered about us in pieces. We all will experience those broken times when it seems we cannever be put tgether again. We will all have our Fridays.

But I testify to you in the name of the One who conquered death—Sunday will come. In the darkness of our sorrow, Sunday will come.

All week long we have listened to, "Another day, little mama!"

"I'm busy."

"PLEASE no."

"Any day but today."

"She's not home."

"There's no one home."

"She's showering."

"I would be lying..."

"We already know Christ."

"I'm visiting."

"Go away,"

But you know what?

Sunday has always been and still is my favorite day of the week. I love it. This sunday was one of the most glorious of my mission... not because anything amazing happened... it was just glorious. We took the sacrament, we had investigators come, we had a great consejo de barrrio, and the messages at church were just absolutely edifying and perfect for the investigators and less actives that did and did not come. I just want to testify that Sunday rocks. The Lord rose from the dead the third day so that we might, too. He blessed us with the greatest sense of peace yesterday for our work this week. I love Him so much. So if you're having a bad week.... just know that DOMINGO LLEGARA!

Otro dia madrecita!
